Alexander is German born and Canadian raised, with professional experience on both sides of the Atlantic.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria, Canada where he specialized in service management and entrepreneurship. He also holds a degree in Real Estate Economics (IREBS) from the University of Regensburg, Germany. In addition, he has become a Qualified Negotiator through the Schranner Negotiation Institute.
Alexander is an active real estate investor in western Canada since 2011. During his time in Munich, Germany he worked as an Investment Consultant for Avison Young (2015 – 2018), gaining experience with office, medical office, retail, hotel, and industrial real estate, as well as senior living and nursing homes before specializing in the latter two. With this experience he became a Real Estate Developer for DSR Deutsche Senioren ResidenzenGmbH (2018 – 2020) developing and restructuring nursing homes throughout Germany.
During his time in Germany he has also gotten involved in numerous M&A transactions and thus can provide valuable insights in this field. Alexander enjoys negotiating and structuring such transactions for clients just as much as placing strategic investments himself to fund and grow various start-ups.
In 2020 Alexander moved to Calgary and became Director of Business Development of the German Business Centre North America Inc. before acquiring a stake in the Company and restructuring it in 2021. In this role he supports corporations, investors, and private clients in successfully bridging the gaps between Germany and Canada.
